A couple more new cards

I had decided last night that I'd make some cards today as we had been told that we wouldn't have an electricity today. That never eventuated, but I did make some cards.  I'm in love with what I've done with this first one, and am reluctant to let anyone else have it. It is an invitation to go out to our families for dd's 9th birthday in December.

Card stock and patterened papers are Stampin up. I've coloured Butterfly Tilda with copics. I've always wanted to try making an easel card, and now I've made 3 of this card, its not hard to do at all. The rose I found instructions for in the Magnolia magazine.

This next card was whipped up for dh's brother who is going into hospital on Tuesday to have his tonsils out. I used some scraps from the other cards to make it.

The stamp is from House of Mouse. Coloured with copics again.

A work in progress

I'm working on a card at the moment and need some input from my favourite internet friends. Tell me: Do you think its balanced? Is it too much, not enough? etc etc.

A new project

I decided I'd make something pretty for dd for her birthday next month. She is turning 9 and is getting past the age of toys, making it harder to find things for her. So after seeing a project on the Lime Tart blog, I decided to do something similar. Using Tilda stamps I made a set of 4 co-ordinating pictures all nicely framed.

The paper and cardstock is all from Stampin Up, and the punch is Martha Stewart. Some of the ribbon is Stampin Up, the ribbon in the first picture was wrapped around an order from Lime Tart. :) The images are all coloured in with copics (my favourite colouring medium).

Something a little fancy

It took several days, but I've made another card. I really like this one.

As you can see, she is sitting on  a bridge made from a sizzix embossing folder and coloured with SU ink pads. The leaves in the bottom right corner are also SU, as are the flowers, which I coloured using copics. The flower centers are from SU as well.

The birds and Tilda are all coloured with copics. The birds are a stamp from Whiff of Joy which I purchased at Lime Tart.

The background stamps are Stampscapes from The Stamp Trap. They are just so versitile.

Most of the inking on this card has been done by sponging SU inks.

Some recent cards

Here are a couple of recent cards. The first one is dh's fathers day card. It took hours and hours to do, but thankfully I had a great tutorial and plans to watch because of this girl Valita.

This is another card I've made just this week. I wanted to make a just because card, so made one suited to my mother who loves everything France. I will update wtih all the card details soon.

Pixi card

I've been crafting again this weekend. I decided to work on a challenge on Mad for Markers. I made this card using a new stamp I purchased on Friday from Lime Tart. Isn't she gorgeous? I think I used nearly every marker I have in the copic range.

I am very happy with how she turned out actually. One of my favourites.

A new card for a new baby

A very good friend of mine is having a baby. So for her Shower I have made a cute card. Its using the Animal Stories set from Stampin Up. I've made a similar card before, but I changed it up a bit.
Yes those are my copics behind it. Hehe.

To make this card I used my SU ink pads, my score pal and my sidekick for the lettering.

Copics, my new favourite hobby associated with my card making, colouring in with markers that blend together beautifully to create beautiful artwork. Any way, check out their new shop.

Lime Tart has a beginners club for those interested in copics. This is where my dh bought my first set and I have just bought my add on kit. What great instructions to go with that lovely stamp. Phillipa is a pleasure to deal with.

Make it Crafty has launched its own online store, and boy do they have great stuff.

Made for Markers is fabulous, also a fine provider of copics, notice a common thread?

Another great store is Scrapbook Boutique. A favourite of mine, I have been a customer since it was a little ebay store. It has loads of fabulous products, take a look.

All of these are my current favourite stores.
